Book Browser – This service is provided by Barnes & Noble. You can check for series and sequels, place and time stories and other book lists.
Amazon Books – Your ultimate virtual bookstore. The Recommendation Center for books will match your interests and moods.
The Webrary – From buying a car to romantic fiction, Webrary lets you browse bibliographies and pathfinders on an array of diverse topics.
If You Like… – Find new literature by looking up some of your old favorites

E-Books
A study done by the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) is the topic of a recent Publishers Weekly (PW) article (January 18, 2010 p. 5) in which the E-book market is discussed. With the introduction of the iPad last week and the steady growth of e-reader sales, libraries are feeling the need more than ever to keep up with trends and the needs of their patrons. Libraries rank 9th out of thirteen top sites for acquiring e-books according to BISG : Comsumer Attitudes Toward E-Book Reading (bisg.org) and are only capturing 8% of the e-book market (compared to Amazon.com at 48%.)
OWWL2Go is a free service where the library never closes and you can checkout and download eBooks 24/7. Patrons can pick a lending period by title or by format. EPUB eBooks & many PDF eBooks can be transferred to the Sony Reader, in addition to being readable on your computer.
Titles include children’s, teen and adult fiction, historical fiction, health and fitness, biographies and current events and politics to name a few.
This service is primarily intended for home use. You may search and checkout items on public computers at your local library, but will need to download them at home. Users with wireless laptops may download items to their machines in libraries that offer wireless Internet access.

Teenreads.com – Author Interviews and reading lists of books we know that teens will love.
Teens Talk About Books – A joint project of Genrefluent and the Center for Adolescent Reading.
Teen Readers’ Advisory Wiki – A collaborative space for gathering and sharing resources that help librarians and others help teens find great reads.
Sync YA Literature Into Your Earphones This is a site that offers free downloads of audiobooks. Two a week, they are geared to teens. They can be downloaded through OverDrive Media Consol.
For Children
National Children’s Book and Literacy Alliance news blog. Purpose: “to share news that may be of interest to everyone and anyone who cares about kids, reading, writing, books, libraries, and art.”
Children’s Notable Lists, recommending exemplary books, videos, recordings, and computer software for children.
